Another good day, another 12 pages written and polished (as far as anything in a draft can be called “polished”) with text, figures, and examples. I’m slowly working my way through this Google Doc called “BOOK”. I finished the mini-chapters on “emphasizing categories” and moved almost through the whole “using hues and shades” sections. Tomorrow I’ll write a lot about color keys and legends. I’m happy with the pace I’m moving at – but as explained yesterday: Lots, if not all of the content so far is already researched and even written about in scattered blog posts. I’m just collecting it all and bringing it in a more coherent form.

Apropos coherence: Today I had one, two moments where I thought “wait, that doesn’t make 100% sense, does it” when reading my blog posts. Arguments that were not well placed; examples that didn’t made the point I wanted to make. I find it interesting that a) I didn’t notice that when writing the blog posts and that b) nobody told me back then. I’m also a bit afraid of making similar “logic” mistakes in the book – and I’m glad that I’ll have beta readers and more time after writing the draft to have a second, third, and twentieth look at everything.

The time besides writing that I spent yesterday for restructuring the post, I spent today on calls with first David (our CEO) and then Gregor (our CTO). I also helped Rose to get her customer story on Investopedia out.

Yeah, good day.
