Today I published part of my book as a blog post! 🎉 You can find it here:
How to choose an interpolation for your color scale
That was nice, and it was one of the smoothest publishing processes I’ve had so far – thanks to my coworker Rose’s amazing editing skills, and thanks to luck with our publishing software. And especially thanks to the fact that I already wrote that content a few weeks ago instead of trying to meet a (self-set) deadline last minute. Have a look and let me know what you think!
I also signed up for the “Useful books” community – mostly because I want to use their software, “Help this book”, to get feedback on my book from beta readers. Somebody from Useful books will help me set up the software tomorrow. Let’s see how this goes.
Aaand today it happened: I designed the very first draft of a cover design! It’s super preliminary. It’s basically just a title I thought of a minute ago put on a gray background, with a few of the figures from the book:

Will the cover look like this at the end? Oh no. I hope it will be better! Everything about it will probably change. But right now, it makes me happy. And: The earlier we start with drafts, the better the final design will be (I hope).
Good day.
