Finally got around reading the two short books of the last Becky Chambers series I hadn’t read yet. So wholesome. Such an easy read, but such a beautiful read, too. The only author I’ve encountered so far whose explanations of surroundings I love to read, because they often promise either coziness or utopia, and both is great.
I can also highly recommend the four books of her Wayfarers series. I read them last summer, and had such a good time. Whatever Becky Chamber will write next, I’ll read it.
I’d love to be as excited about more authors. It’s just nice to read and compare and have favourites within one’s person work, and to look forward to their next book, preorder it, eagerly wait for it, and then devour it.
Maybe 2026 is the year I’ll add one or two more names to the list of „authors I’m a fan of“.
