Today was a medium good day. I came up with lines and big chapter titles (see the two images at the top) and an alternative dropdown menu as titles. And I came up with boxes in which I paste the URL. Actually, I can design very boring pages and just put the boxes on top of it…and it will look immediately more interesting (at least that’s what I hope).
And I continued to try copying every other magazine out there. And it’s hard. You know what all these magazines do? They put images on Every. Single. Page …in the magazine. Images á la photographies, and rarely graphics. I totally see the importance of putting images on a page, but I have a really hard time doing so. Because and internet are both not the best topics for illustrating; AND I’m not the best in handling pictures.
Regarding this, today I thought about the Misc part in the beginning and end, and came up with the idea to illustrate it with common internet memes. The problem is, of course, that it will look very easily very trashy. But doesn’t the “Can I Haz Cheezburger” cat look adorable there?
