iToday: Traveling! I got up at 4.45am in Belgrade and arrived half an hour ago in an AirBnB in Washington, DC (it is 3am the next day in Europe and 9pm in DC). Good flights, all three of them! Shitty terminal change and queuing in Rome, but great transfer in Charlotte. Ah, Charlotte. I like landing there. The whole city is just one forest…and the airport is very neat.

Also, I felt suuuper productive - I guess also due to the fact that my onboard entertainment system showed digital art instead of Hollywood blockbuster (aka it was broken). I finally, finally found a nice form for my Google Search history chart. I was surprised that I had such a hard time finding one in the first place. I guess the last time I did such a quick turn-around magazine infographic was….exactly 2 years ago, for my Master’s Thesis. And I kind of missed it.

And after the first obstacles and constant “man, I used to be better/faster at this”-thoughts, I had these many little success moments I’ve always liked about designing things. You know, when you get excited about something you create. And you find it g-e-n-i-u-s. (Until you look at it with a critical eye.) Designing, for me, was always like a roller coaster ride: You love an idea, then you think it’s the worst one ever, you’re totally stuck or totally in the flow. Well…I certainly was in the flow. I actually don’t think that this representation of the data is so much more better than the one I showed in my blog. But the hours rushed by, and boy, did I have fun.
