Today I worked on a story with my co-worker Tyler. Tyler is awesome in PostgreSQL and so he prepared the data, and then I visualized it. I liked that. I didn’t feel we were extremely efficient, but it was fun doing so and we had some good discussions about what we can tell with the data we have.
Also, I continued with the blog post, and I had some fun drawing little illustrations for it. Oh, and I just published it: Map vs Territory it is called. It’s about the models we build about the world, and how we should be aware about the fact THAT they differ.

11pm EST is a dumb time to tweet. My German followers sleep and my US followers are enjoying their (Friday) nights.
One reason for learning many different tools (instead of learning one tool really well) is that you can collaborate with other people, who might use other tools than this one tool you’re using. (Thanks Zyma)

Should I write a blog post about how to use colors…so that I get better at using colors?
