Another great day of this weekend! The second one, in fact. Today was Sunday and it started with pretty good brunch at Ted’s Bulletin (Hash Browns! French toast! Eggs, sunny side up!) with Jennings. Then we walked to the Mall and laid down in the shadow and watched the clouds and I totally got a sunburn from that. Very upsetting considering the talk I will give in three days. Hm.
Afterwards we met with J who told me about a lecture at the National Gallery of Arts, about a comic book. I saw the same presentation at Tapestry in March already, but it was great back then and it was great to see it again. I even bought the book.
And because we were in such an inspirational artsy mood afterwards, we went to the Hirshhorn museum. It’s a museum here in DC, also at the Mall, filled with contemporary art. Not necessarily the best contemporary art, if you’d ask me. But it was nice to be there with J and Jennings.

Learnings?
REM sleep stands for “rapid eye movement”. Why am I only learning that now.
The distance to the stars can be measured by measuring how much stars have changed in their visible position when seen now and half a year ago.

How do we keep the habit without loosing the experience?
