I didn’t get as much done as I wanted, but I did more research into backgrounds. And which kind of background is used by visualizations out there. And I stumbled upon a new tool while doing so: The (OK)LCH Color Picker & Converter by Andrey Sitnik and Roman Shamin. It has really, really nice graphics showing
- the highest possible saturation (chroma, top right) for each lightness and hue
- the possible hues for the selected saturation and lightness (bottom right)
It’s great to get an intuitive understanding for which hues can have which saturation at which lightness. Very, very neat.
I spent the rest of the day with the hiring process for our two positions. I’ll see you next week – enjoy your weekend! 👋
