There are two reasons why I wanted to read this book. First, Alli (as a human being and as a communicator) is amazing. And second, it’s one of the shortest books on data visualization I’ve seen so far, so that was intriguing in itself.

It was a very interesting, entertaining, nicely short read! I feel like it was a “how to be creative book” with a data vis touch – which was refreshing, and I didn’t know it would work so well. I loved all the anecdotes in it – and her courage to talk about the times she failed. This was, well, encouraging!

I really liked the quote “You can’t innovate when you’re always taking the most efficient route.” As somebody who tries to optimize loooots of things in her life, this hit home.

I’d recommend it to everyone who wants to creative beautiful, creative data visualization (data art), but feels stuck.
