I continued working on the big question on how to actually put a color palette together, and while doing so, stumbled across this neat article, with this neat illustration:

I really like how well it illustrates the difference between creating a gradient (or mixing colors, which is the same and you simply take the middle color of the gradient) in RGB/HSL/whatever…or (OK)LCH (the best color space there is, as we all know).

What’s also keeping me busy are lots of new features that we at Datawrapper put out these days these days. I get to do the following: testing the feature, reading through feature announcements my coworkers wrote, creating images and videos for them, writing Academy articles, announcing the new features on social media, and preparing our newsletters for the launch.

We launched our PowerPoint add-in two weeks ago, pattern overlays for choropleth maps last week, and this week…well, you’ll see in a few minutes. I also know that our developers are busy getting a few more things ready to show the world. Very exciting weeks indeed!
