
Another good day. I finished the chapter on interpolation (after writing the whole part on interpolations for continuous color scales, then deciding that the part on interpolations for classed color scales should come first and so rewriting the part on continuous color scales to make that work…).
Anyway: I finished the chapter on interpolation! 16 pages I built a lot of fairly complex figures for to make it a bit easier to understand what I’m talking about.
At the end of the day, I started collecting color keys for the next chapter on (yes!) color keys:

Also lots of fun. I think it’s helpful to have an overview of color key examples in the book, to get inspired by them and see what others did right. (I’m also collecting the color keys that could be improved, to then talk about them in…abstract terms. Not gonna call anyone out.)
