The biggest news today has nothing to do with the book: We’re extending my little communications team (currently, that’s just me and my coworker Rose who we hired a year ago) by two people! We’re looking for:

In the last few days, I was busy fine-tuning the job posts and discussing with my coworkers which tasks we should give applicants that a) tell us enough about their skills to make the best possible decision while b) not taking them too much time.

And now the two job posts are out. I’m very excited about that! And I’m really looking forward to seeing who will apply. And where the communications team will be in a year thanks to these people.

Putting out these two job posts also means that I’ll be fairly busy with first the whole hiring process (reading emails and CVs, replying, answering questions, discussing who to interview, interviewing, etc.) and then with onboarding the two people we’ll choose. Progress on the book will be slower because of that, but I’ll try to still make space to continue working on the book (and posting here!) every day.

Did I also work on the book today, btw? I did. I finished the subsection “Choose beautiful colors” in the section “Choose beautiful colors” (yep, the wording of all these section and subsections is still up for debate). That was fun! I like talking about how people can choose better colors.

The next subsection is “Choose beautiful color combinations” and is a bit tricky. Tomorrow I’ll be busy promoting the two job posts and answering people’s questions about them, but I’ll also try to tackle that challenging subsection.
